Ladies and gentlemen, I bring you Belize. I have more pictures, but these were my top 38 (the others got voted off along with Chekezie and Ramiele by a particularly ill-mannered and rowdy crowd who called my toll-free 866 -- not 800, please dial carefully -- number).

I must say a lot of the scenery reminds me of the Philippines, but I don't think the roadside signs are as cool and I don't think I've ever been as close to the rainforest. Thank you for sharing pictures!

YAY! More pictures!

Mitch kept calling Belize an island. It isn't -- it's firmly attached to Guatemala and the Central American land mass -- but it feels like one because of the palm trees.

It's all a question of frame of reference. When every tropical place you've ever vacationed with palm trees and blue ocean and reggae music drifting in from the background has been an island, that's how you tend to think of them. He really did keep saying "island" because to him it felt like an island vacation.
