Sometimes life can be deceiving

rirenec got me thinking. What do I do for fun? People ask me that a lot. My parents, especially, ask me that on a regular basis. All my answers sound trite when I tell them, so let me put it into a list.
Writing. This is perhaps the most fun I have. I'm a compulsive writer and yes, I write every day. I don't have a set word count in my head that I must get to or anything. I just... write. My own stuff mostly, but also fanfiction sometimes and roleplay sometimes, although not much of either of those last two lately.
Photography. I go through phases where I'm every bit as avid about this as I am about writing, where I practice every single day. Lately I've been neglecting photography, so that means it's time to make sure the battery's charged and go take advantage of the day's sunshine and experiment a bit.
Reading. This is another thing I do every day. I recently joined Goodreads, that helps me keep track of all the things I've started and haven't yet finished. I'm usually in the middle of two or three or four books at once (I can thank astrology for that). I also love to do research! Sometimes it's even random research.
Exercise. Yes, every day, or as many days as I can. Sometimes life is too busy with work and appointments early in the day, but I do my best to reserve mornings for exercise. I know myself well enough to know if I don't do this first thing, I probably won't do it at all. What types? I am currently using a stationary for bike anywhere between 30 and 60 minutes of hills (or intervals, just to shake things up). Then sit-ups (right now I'm on 100 every day), then I lift weights. I wish I had a hot tub for some hydrotherapy after, but I just have to make do.
Then I have my personal bolt-holes: driving (I will drive anywhere just to do it, with some good tunes playing and a cup of coffee). This sometimes leads me to the beach, which is my favorite place in the world for decompressing and relaxing. I think if I lived at the beach I would finally be able to get good at meditating. When I had access to a pool, I would go swimming every day. That's a good meditative sport too, not to mention so great for toning our bodies. But no pool access any more, so I only get to swim when I'm at places like Little St. Simon's Island. I grew up at the beach and have a long-standing love affair with the ocean. I would be there every day if I could.
So tell me, what do you do for R&R? The moon's in Pisces, so I'm in a reflective mood and also wearing rainbows of semi-precious stones on my wrist. I'm chakra-based these days.
