Friend: So...how've you been?

Friend: yes
Sirius: contemplative. sad. busier than I need to be.
Friend: Why sad?
Sirius: because... I have been remembering Dementors.
Friend: I'm sorry. That must be very...cold and empty.
Sirius: Do you know that feeling you get when you first hear bad news? Like everything drains from you, from the head down, and you get a knot in the pit of your stomach, and you get cold and can't concentrate for that split second?
Friend: (nods)
Sirius: what if you felt like that for twelve years without a break?
Friend: I think I'd literally freeze.
Sirius: Welcome to Azkaban.

so logn as I find out what you prefer to read..wh ichdoens't mena one wil be out out!out! if he/she also lieks slash but since in my hapy midn sirius is astraight as can posibly be and I DO NOT beliv itneh ruel of "It's fanfic. he can be ga yregarleso fcanon ro whatever". because liek I said earlier. this kid nof stuff shou'dt overtake sotry discussions and in my opinion shoud lactual ybeocme jsut as important as say...the color of mrs norris's fur. :P

I wil not go off ona rant-within-a-rant) about the desire of some folsk I've come acrossto create a very painfule dplot device, isnurt it into a 'imagine this happening to sirius or the marauders or fill-in-someone" tyep of stor yadn then enjoy writing the pain while their readers get akick otu of the endless amoutns of hurt. because its' goignto leadto the gratuitous serius-psycholgoical-problems fics and/or the the hgue amout nof sirius chan or that fukcign non-consensual one where he reduced Hermioen to some kidn of puddle of submition orthe oen where HE was forced int osex or...orthe peopel thinking tha after azkaban he s itl is th e16 year old brat, or anarrogant twit like the oen residign in snape's mhead thats' hapily rreplacing the real sirisu whenver they meet.

Erm..I hsoud jhave jsut said that ther's oen perosn who's probalb yas picky as you (or as I) might be adn it's all I do to kepe me form jsut swimign around atthe rist kof havign ten thosuand spork-worthy stories to get rid off. i'll jsut ask her the way orread recs from anyoen else who soudns liek they somewhat read what I read orwrite what I like.

I don't read Sirius/anyone slash and I don't read stories that portray Sirius as a pedophile and I don't read stories where Sirius is a rapist. There are precious few stories where Sirius falls for an OC female that I'll read, too. Even though I know there's some S/R slash out there that is incredibly well-crafted, I prefer not to read it. And it's nothing to do with being offended; it's just not the way I see the character.
