IMing in character, the friend asks how Sirius has been lately...

Friend: So...how've you been?
Sirius: yn onest?
Friend: yes
Sirius: contemplative. sad. busier than I need to be.
Friend: Why sad?
Sirius: because... I have been remembering Dementors.
Friend: I'm sorry. That must be very...cold and empty.
Sirius: Do you know that feeling you get when you first hear bad news? Like everything drains from you, from the head down, and you get a knot in the pit of your stomach, and you get cold and can't concentrate for that split second?
Friend: (nods)
Sirius: what if you felt like that for twelve years without a break?
Friend: I think I'd literally freeze.
Sirius: Welcome to Azkaban.

But...yikes! that was eerily...realistic. in character. adn oh I guess sometimes one needs aremidner of hat he might have been throughto sorto frealize you know...this "how the HELL did he make itthroug hthat" moment. it's somethign to create aballance between stupid pty for that and somek nond of very strange admiration that goes onthe brink of...of what? Of I don't now. ntothe dumb ogling afte rosmeon tells his amazign story, more liek the cnstant yoru mout hformign an O and your isnides going into nods adn all you can do is jsut swlalow and blink .adn try yoru damnest o get al lthe fukcign clechay-phrases out of the way before yo usay them.

Good rant.

I like to point people who claim he is no more than a reckless teen who never grew up in the direction of stuff like this. Like... how did he make it through 12 minutes of that, never mind 12 years? It's part of my EVIL justification for Sirius deserving to do whatever he pleases however he wants afterward Azkaban.

It makesm me thikn of "lj user="siriusstar"> who inspired me to make this a project and starto gaher an ice and compact list of authors and fics liek mine-and-hers-and-yours, for the convenience of eeveryoen who is lokign for god het or gen sirius-featurign or -focusing stories that are worht reading. so logn as I find out what you prefer to read..wh ichdoens't mena one wil be out out!out! if he/she also lieks slash but since in my hapy midn sirius is astraight as can posibly be and I DO NOT beliv itneh ruel of "It's fanfic. he can be ga yregarleso fcanon ro whatever". because liek I said earlier. this kid nof stuff shou'dt overtake sotry discussions and in my opinion shoud lactual ybeocme jsut as important as say...the color of mrs norris's fur. :P

I don't read Sirius/anyone slash and I don't read stories that portray Sirius as a pedophile and I don't read stories where Sirius is a rapist. There are precious few stories where Sirius falls for an OC female that I'll read, too. Even though I know there's some S/R slash out there that is incredibly well-crafted, I prefer not to read it. And it's nothing to do with being offended; it's just not the way I see the character.
