Random=not so bad

No Pats game today (bye week). I'm not in withdrawal or anything. The Guy is watching the Jets/Chargers game (me: hey Plaxico, how's that leg).

In honor of Patriots-free Sunday -- no on-field or post-game press conferences to occupy my time -- I invite y'all one more time to read and comment on the stories at ineedmyfics or to jump on the exchange bandwagon and write one of the unfilled prompts over there. So many fandoms, so little time. Or if that's not your cup of chai, there's a new prompt at 100wordstories today for those who like to write with more brevity. I actually wrote one last time, a Game of Thrones drabble.

Speaking of writing (original stuff this time), I've been doing that. A lot. As long as no one turns off the switch, I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you jules1278 and scribble_myname.

I'm looking at an exciting day stocking up on groceries and possibly making something exotic for dinner later on. OH MAN Iron Chef last night was all vegetarian (secret ingredient: BROCCOLI!) and I wanted to jump into the food and eat it all. SO MUCH.

I finished and posted a fic last night and I"m currently watching the last game of the Rugby World Cup.

Then I'm going to have dinner with a friend from grad school, call my parents and then work tonight.

I'm feeling accomplished this weekend as I went grocery shopping and have been doing things.

Also I've saved one of the ineedmyfics prompts but haven't gotten started on it.

Work's not too bad, it's starting to get busy as the middle of the semester goes by, but many of the questions are interesting. Groceries can be good, they hold possibilities.

I don't ever really mind grocery shopping. I feel like I do it all the time, but today I'm heading out with my sweetheart and food shopping together's actually kind of sweet! Much less rote than doing it alone. Like browsing the shelves of a good bookstore, you never know what you're going to come up with.
