I got my letter this morning and just signed in. I did get my account the first day of the Magic Quill thing, but no, I haven't been sorted yet. I'm just kind of... poking around and don't have any real idea what's going on. But I'll figure it out.

mmkay, so I just got sorted into my (red-and-gold) house. I liked the Sorting ceremony a lot. And I like my wand (pine, 12-1/2", dragon heartstring core, "quite bendy.")

My favorite thing about them is they're both entirely unpredictable but not entirely random either. It's pretty well done.

Ha, yes! Well. Some of the name choices were a little unfortunate, I think. But I do like that it offers you four options and that's that, you have to take one of them. Keeps the site from having HarryPotter12345 and HarryPotter23456 and TrueHermioneGranger and names like that.

The curious thing to me is that I kind of haven't really cared. I wasn't actively beating down the site for early entry into the beta; I happened to look and there was the question staring at me so I answered. I wasn't sitting around waiting for my letter letting me know I could play either. In fact, it was in my mailbox when I woke up yesterday morning and I didn't even do anything with it until last night. *shrug*

To be honest, I'm not dying to get into the site for its own sake, teehee. Like you, I just stumbled across an opportunity to register, and I'm not waiting on tenterhooks for my e-mail. Everyone just seems to be talking about it (not a big deal; people are entitled to talk about whatever they want :) ) so I'm pretty conscious about the fact that the e-mail hasn't arrived yet. However, I know that it will get here when it gets here :)

I read on the blog that they're going to send out some more, then stop for a few weeks to see how the site handles the load. It seems like they're probably going in order based on who registered first, but it's hard to tell.
