Eating blueberries and bittersweet Pocky, drinking ice water, freezing my butt off, was watching some Tom Petty concert footage, writing a little, chatting with probably one of the best people out there, got a gorgeous Russian Blue boycat on my lap. I'm also wearing a combination of lavender, rosewood, and grapefruit essential oils which is a fantastic blend, and Steve Blum sounds great as Jack Shephard in the Lost video game.

All is right with the world.

Except... I still think Bleach kind of sucks, and I wish Bebop was back in the rotation at least on Saturday nights although Champloo is a decent substitute, and I'm sick but don't really have any good downtime coming up, and yeah, like that. Restless.

I think I won't be doing any more writing challenges like the last one: that didn't go over so well. Live and learn. I ran out of steam, but I've been working on original stuff and oh yeah, those of you who volunteered to read but haven't made any comments? I'm changing that filter now. If you want back on later when you actually do have time, you can let me know.

It's only easy to write badly when you're not trying. When you try to write badly, it's nearly impossible. Plus, some of the concepts are better served as one-liners instead of whole stories, or at least that's how I feel about it.

It's one of those very engaging books with strong characters. I think you'll like it and get easily swept up in how quickly the story goes by.

Pocky! I thought I was the only one who bought that stuff. My son loves it--them? I guess them.

There's so many different flavours, though!

When we were at our local Asian supermarket a few weeks ago, we stocked up. My daughter likes the plain milk chocolate Pocky, but whether by choice or by marketing, my husband goes for the bittersweet ("Men's") variety (which are really good: I brought him some from Otakon as a souvenir last summer). I've been eating that stuff for years and I've tried just about every variety. It might be time to go stock up again.

If you're freezing, shouldn't you be drinking tea instead? ^_^

Steve in Lost? Woohoo! I'm assuming (without looking) that's him in your icon.

[pouts] The manga's better, honest. I know, I know.... Anyway, I tried watching some Cartoon Network in the background last night, and really wasn't interested in Goosebumps episodes - then I forgot to turn it back on, as I ran smack into a Dramatic Development elsewhere.

I think I go do some reading now. :)

Hehehe, you're so cute. Jack my ass: the icons are Cid Highwind from Final Fantasy VII.

Jack Shephard looks remarkably more like Matthew Fox. Steve's only voicing him in the video game, which immediately made it onto my wishlist. Not that I'm a blindly giggling fangirl or anything. He does a remarkably good job of mimicking Matthew Fox, but he's still Steve (with a twist of young Spike added for the yeah, baby element).

CN last night was a Steve-fest, though: between Champloo and Blood+ and whatever all else he was on, I kept being distracted. Since Mitch was working on some stuff on his laptop, he didn't mind. But during Bleach he kept up about the most hysterical random running commentary I've ever heard, full of irreverent snark. It was beautiful.

Oh, like I can tell most of the FF characters apart anyway.

Matthew Fox, riiiight. OK. I am hampered, still, by my huge ignorance of the show (i.e., character names), drat it. Yes, I know it's on DVD, but it would take a lot of effort to get caught up. (Yes, I know it's only in the game, but unless I misunderstand their style, the game is as much canon as everything else. Therefore, he's on Lost.)

Ah, so they're back to Bleach - what kinda stuff was Mitch saying, and you don't happen to remember what was happening during the ep, do you? I'm curious as to where they are.

Let's see. They kept upping the appointed hour of Rukia's death. *yawn*

What did Mitch say? Let's see... at one point, one of the bad guys made some comment about "you have a (some sort of) look on your face" and Mitch piped up randomly with "I hate that look."

Then later, Ichigo said something like "So if it's okay with you, I'm just going to do my own kind of fighting." Mitch: "Yeah, it's fine."

And they showed Rukia lying in some cell and Hannah wanted to know how come Rukia's hair was falling that when she was lying down. Mitch's answer: "too much BLEACH!"

It was a regular stand-up comedy act.

[razzberry] It was a dramatic tool to increase tension! There's an ulterior motive behind it, too.

*snicker* The Jackson and Kubo Tite Comedy Half-Hour.

Locke, on the other hand, sounds so BAD. Not that the actor is doing a bad job, it's just that even for a casual viewer you can hear most of the voices and go, 'That's not [x].' Am I still gonna play that shit the day it comes out? Hell yes I am!

For once, the PC version is cheaper! I don't have a PS/3 or a 360, so... for $30, I can do it. I bet they'll have it at Costco too.

I was debating between the PS3 and the 360 version, but since the 360 version comes with achievements and most of my friends have 360s at this point, it looks like it will be that one.

I can't find the cast list anywhere. Meh. The trailer on the Ubisoft webpage though looks like it has some superior animation!

Heh, there are reasons why I write reminders of those things. I did, too, about four times, but there were few takers. It's fine: I didn't even write something new for it.

*wanders off in search of more Pocky*
