I have these moments of watching Yorick go oh, fuck when he finds out he has a daughter. Of all the things that have preoccupied his mind the last five years, I seriously doubt he's ever entertained that as a possibility. That's going to be a beautiful thing to see, no matter how it ends up. Just because Yorick is so... Yorick; he's such a perfectly sweet and bitter geek.
This makes me wish you'd watched Farscape, because I bet Yorick'd do pretty much what Crichton does - which is instant transformation into UberDaddy. There's pretty much nothing more important to Crichton than family responsibilities, and it wouldn't surprise me if it hits Yorick just as hard.
