Seems that way.

Hannah's been home sick with the virus making the rounds for two days now. Clearly today is a better day for her.
Yesterday morning I took her to the doctor who ruled out both strep and bronchitis, which left us with the icky well, it's a virus and it has to run its course thing. I was glad it wasn't either of those bad boys of childhood medicine, because that means I don't have either of those things either (since Hannah and I are together so much). So we stopped and got a few things on the way home from the doctor's office and bunked out on the couch at home all day. Last night, she said she was still feeling so-so, so I decided she ought to sleep in today instead of spreading the cheer around school. I haven't heard nearly as much coughing, so I think she'll be good to go back tomorrow.
In the meantime, I'm glad I didn't have work scheduled. I'm working Friday and Saturday, and I'm at the massage school on Thursday being some sort of expert witness, but other than that, I don't have work until the end of next week, which is good because I'm having a visitor for a few days and might just be scarce. I was getting the guest room set up and the cats would not stay off the bed. It's sweet and silly, but it's hard to make a bed with three cats lying on it. I guess they needed to test it out first. The room's mostly set; I still have a few days.
I'm the Queen of Procrastination.
In the meantime I've done a buttload of laundry, folded it, got the garbage out, did up the guest room, cleaned the kitchen, cleaned the kitchen again, and have been having so much fun taking care of the litter boxes and the fish tank.
And... Jasmine, Queen of Cats, just stole and ate a potato chip. Go, girl.
I'm off to watch some Trigun. It's a good day for anime... but when isn't?

Date: 2007-03-01 04:15 am (UTC)The third Simpsons movie trailer wasn't anywhere near as good as the first one, but Green Day are making a cameo in it, so Hannah's all psyched.

Date: 2007-03-01 06:38 pm (UTC)Actually, I stopped being so infatuated with it when I saw somes of the dubs on CN...I didn't really like them that much. I guess maybe I'm just used to watching the subs instead.
...As I write this the next day. I hope Hannah felt better today!

Date: 2007-03-01 09:12 pm (UTC)But that's for later, or for tomorrow. I have my priorities.
The little bit I've seen of FMA is pretty. I know a few people who are pretty obsessed with it even now. I'm trying to inch toward being motivated to try more stuff, but really... the more people tell me to see something, the less likely I am to do it.
I'm not watching Trigun because anyone said I must. I finally came around to wanting to at least watch through 9, and I did it all by my little self. Such an accomplishment.

Date: 2007-03-01 10:07 pm (UTC)As for what to watch...I know from first-hand experience that a lot of what other people OMG LOVE I don't always like, so I'll watch if it looks like I'll like it. I'm glad you decided on your own to watch some Trigun, and maybe you'll like it enough to watch past 9 and maybe not; either way I'm happy you're trying it. I promise not to tell you to watch more if you don't want to (not like you'd listen anyway, you Scorpio you).
I will say, though, that 9, 10, and 11 are all excellent Wolfwood episodes. Just so you know. Okay, as you were!

Date: 2007-03-01 10:35 pm (UTC)It's kind of slow going at this point, but the main theme (I think) is starting to become evident. You've got to love someone with a reputation for violence who's more peace-loving than anyone else.
I have to say, though, that one thing I like about Spike is that when violence is called for, he doesn't hesitate. Like he says, he's not there to save the world and he doesn't give a damn about it (except really he does). He's just a humble bounty hunter.
Vash is... still badly drawn, even though I like him okay. I'm waiting for it to get meatier.
Have fun tonight. My best to Jeff, okay?
