I am unreasonably excited about this.

That is all. Well, no, it's not all. I had a teaching interview today, and it's a thousand degrees out, and Hannah's in camp, and I have to send away to UMASS for my transcripts, and I've ordered a new laptop but I have no idea when it will be here. It's just too much bother to write about it all. Yesterday was the hottest day I've ever known, but today looks like it's giving it a run for its money.

So in an effort not to fry another piece of electronic equipment, I'll keep this mercifully random and brief. You can have the griping another day, aren't you so glad.

Oh, too bad! It's a DVD coming out in the fall from Bang Zoom! entertainment called "Adventures in Voice Acting." There are interviews with about a hundred voice actors from all over the U.S., and I know I'm a voice actor fangirl but I swear that half of them on that promo piece you can't hear because it's in flash are my favorite voice actors, male and female.

So... it's fannish enthusiasm. If it doesn't cost too much, I'll be glad to add it to my DVD library, even though it's a dangerous pastime to put faces to voices sometimes.

as for putting faces to voices? inthis particualr branche it makes me glad that i'm blind. i.e. now i have jkr's discriptions of harry in my head and not see dan radcliffe's profile instead. but iwi lstil lhave the slightel yreversal audio effect of havingt the voice i'm putting to harry's book persona distroyed by dan's. ieman i' mwritign ficand i swear wheni 'm playig notu scenes in my head msot of the voices are similar to or exactly liek the oens fro mthe movie. (except sirius. i wrote to sirisustar once describign how that-oen sounds and icna dig that up. adn remus needsa change. he sooudns liek jim dale in my head which is not fun. i'm trying to benditto a blend of him and david thewlis but iwant somethign else. if i force msyefl to try to find itthough it gets too high for m yliking and soudns too much liek a 19-year-old. eithe that, or he gets an american accent. :P

i hoep tonks and luna soudn like the ones in my mind.
