Happy birthday,
atropos87!!!
May you have a lovely, lovely birthday full of all good things. May your year be full of untold happy delights, hugs, and good cheer.
I was going to write more and be oh so clyfar or ciwt (since
jaylake begifted me with that responsibility while he's in Omaha chasing duck dishes in his dreams) but I'm not feeling oh so clever or oh so cute. Being told to go forth and be clever is almost like someone pointing a gun to my feet, firing, and instructing me to dance. Heh. Well, not quite that bad. (I am the original Question Authority woman, by the way.)
I was going to write my writing challenge entry (I can't believe no one's done one yet) but I had kind of an anime day instead with
lostinapapercup -- who needs proximity to watch DVDs together? I ask you. My friend, I do adore you. That was so very fun. Except I need to watch Ballad again without distractions this time. Sometime when there aren't 5 people IMing me and the phone's not ringing and there's no jackhammering going on in the yard. (Oooh! Anime alert! Jack Hammer. Name him.)
So, tomorrow I will write and write and write, because Spike needs to write about falling and Bill needs to write about falling and Sirius needs to write about falling, and they're all three different interpretations on the word. See, I know what I want to do. I just have to do it. [cue Nike logo here]
And oh, lookit, Gren's a go. That was fast. My timing must be just excellent. Thanks,
muffinbutt and
indy_go and
copinggoggles and
villainny, whoever did that so quickly! Hugs and adoration. If you don't know who Gren is... watch Bebop. He's a fascinating character. I suppose I could put
spcl_agt_cooper on the adoption block, or I could just delete him. I doubt very many people would notice or care. But 3 is my limit at Milliways.
In other news, I threatened Dogstar people (ha ha ha) with turning it into a Bebop board and suddenly there's a huge flurry of activity there. I need to thank
fionabiddle for an excellent job on an advertisement; we've had visitors all day. I can't ask for more than that. Also, all my characters over there are having fun again. Charlie's telling dragon jokes in the tunnels; Sirius is planning Medeni's birthday trip; Mary Frances is researching innoculations against lycanthropy with Guinevere, and Genevieve is being psychic-at-large. It's fun. I like it when people are actually there and actually playing. Makes my heart skip this little little beat out of sheer excitement from a modly perspective when I see that daily average post count go up and up, and it's not only me.
OK. So I'm a geek. Deal.
In my 20 songs meme, no one guessed the following:
7. Her way of life may be nothing to hide with her frosted glass shattered, curtains open wide - The Specials, Stupid Marriage
8. Dillinger and Leroy Smart, Delroy Wilson, your cool operator - The Clash, White Man in Hammersmith Palais
12. It's that faint, faint sound of the childhood bell ringing in my soul - Yoko Ono, Kiss Kiss Kiss
16. I turned around and she said "Why do you always end up down at Nick's Cafe?" - Robbie Robertson, Somewhere Down the Crazy River
17. Perhaps for some money I could talk like a bee dripping honey - The Proclaimers, Throw the 'R' Away
19. I'm thinking about the fireworks that go off when you smile - The Pretenders, Don't Get Me Wrong
Wow. Look. I was kind of ciwt after all.

You're incredibly good to me, you know. Thanks.
Also, I'm glad Dogstar's picked up some, even if you had to threaten making it a Bebop board. Heh heh heh.

Date: 2005-09-21 07:12 am (UTC)I liked that challenge of dropping your character in a random place every week. I was thinking of playing somewhere along that line when you brought it up.

I'm sorry you've been having lousy and hectic weeks. I think we all have. And I'm glad you liked the little challenge. It worked for me.
