Whee!

We're back on dialup access! So I won't be here as much as usual because... only one phone line. Until the installers call and schedule in 3-5 days and figure out what's going on with the satellite internet connection.

Meh, the connections have been really slow anyhow, and I've been having to reset the modem at least once a day, and that doesn't seem right to me. So, we'll get it all fixed and in the meantime I'm oh so philosophical about it... and very glad that I kept my dialup service as backup. Yes, I am. Premonition or laziness -- whatever brought it on -- I'm thankful. Or I'd be paying $2/minute at Kinkos for the privilege of writing this to everybody.

Wonder how much I'll be paying to have service restored. Hmm. Wish me luck.

I'm not inspired to write fiction at the moment, but I have to say that Blue Hawaii just got a sweetheart of a review on Fiction Alley. Thank you, Steve, whoever you are.

In celebration of my tendinitis, after this week I am taking two weeks off from massage, so long as I can swing that financially. Also no swimming. I might finish the beaded portrait I started for sff_corgi a whole long time ago; not sure. Depends on how that feels on the wrists. I miss it, though.

I get notes all the time from other beaders who either want to just chat with me or want to swap ideas or want instructions. I feel like a fraud having a beading website with a gallery of jewelry and portraits and other stuff when I'm not actively doing it any more.

I have five works in progress to finish writing too. I should use the lack-of-always-on connection to behave myself and finish at least 2 of those stories.
