Icebound

sff_corgi asked me how many days it had been. I know Hannah went to school on Monday, but we've been stuck at home ever since. Every day, they tell us that it will get warmer... tomorrow. It's like chasing the end of the rainbow.

But Hannah is delighted to have no school, of course. I checked on the web last night at 10:30 and found out her school was cancelled for today and went to tell her. She was so excited, she asked how I knew, and I told her.

She beamed up at me with: 'Mom, you rock!"

Our birds are now officially ice-skating across our lawn. It's a sheer sheet of ice out there. Every leaf, every branch, is completely coated. And it's not melting... yet.

I had to reschedule my client for a standing appointment every morning at the same time until the roads are passable. No one's going anywhere in this - I haven't seen a single car pass by and it's noontime.
