All-School Sing

At Hannah's school they have a monthly gathering where the whole school gets together and sings. Parents are invited to stay, but since I've been teaching on Thursday mornings I haven't been able to attend.
Until today.
Imagine the bliss that is this: a hundred children, from kindergarten to 6th grade. 10 of them selected (Hannah included) to play the rhythm section on Feliz Navidad while the other 90 kids sing along... at a completely different pace.
[grin]
It was sweet in its chaos.

Date: 2004-12-16 07:06 pm (UTC)I think that's awesome!
I've seen most of our kids' assemblies, but I had to miss the last one (the music one) because of a doctor's appointment, but I can imagine it went the same way, and that's the best!

Date: 2004-12-17 06:11 am (UTC)The All-School-Sing was almost more fun because the kids got to sing more. This was blessedly on-schedule for the first time I can remember.
I didn't even get lost getting to and from Lewis & Clark College, which I've been to once before in the dark.
I had a lot of proud mommy moments today.
