Angst and Hopefulness

Just thought I'd grab your attention with that subject line.
- Light that menorah! Happy Chanukah, everyone. It's a festival of lights; it celebrates lights that burn an impossibly long time. Just like magic, in the dark of a winter night, when everyone had given up hope. Are you listening,
sff_corgi? There is always hope. That offer I made today stands.
- Yes, I'm still beta-reading, which is just a fancy term for editing. I know the terminology comes from the computer testing world, but pray tell, why do we use it in the realm of fanfic?
heidi8? Anybody? Is it simply co-opted?
- I'm ready for the next installment of Pirates of the Caribbean.
- Last night I saw a great documentary on the Clash. I miss them. I miss Joe. He was only 52.
- My DH is traveling again all next week, which happens to be Hannah's last week of school before the holiday break. That leads me to this question: what plans do people have for the new year? For New Year's Eve?
- I actually did some holiday shopping today. I feel moderately accomplished.
-
fourish, ping me if you get a chance? I need something from you.
