If you did something differently, Aleister would have had the 12 best years of his life. Just like he did. All living creatures get sick. We treasure what time we have with them, they're gifts, and we love them and they love us. That's the simple truth, and it still hurts when they leave us. And it takes however long it takes, but they're always, always in our hearts. That's one place they never leave.
