Often when the radio is on, my daughter will ask me which HP character's song it is. (Because we know everything relates back to Harry Potter in one way or another, right?)

So today I thought that the pefect Good Ship Ron/Hermione's theme song would have to be 'If I Didn't Love You (I'd Hate You)' from Squeeze.

And we already know that the perfect Good Ship Remus/Sirius theme song is 'Train in Vain' from the Clash. [OTW standard disclaimer applies]

And for Harry, I like 'I'm All Alone in the World' from Mr Magoo's Christmas Carol.

Go on, add to the list. Let's get as creative as possible here, it's a fun game!

I've already told you about mine, but I'll list 'em here, as well...

Voldemort=Back in Black

Death Eaters=Dirty Deeds, Done Dirt Cheap

Wormtail=Bullets with Butterfly Wings, by Smashing Pumpkins
("Despite all my rage, I am still just a rat in the cage"==accurate, I'd say.)

Hogwarts Express=Crazy Train

I'll probably have more later, but there's a start.

*laughs* I'm not much of a shipper, to be honest. I'm in favor of a Harry/Ginny shipper if anything. And a Sirius/Remus ship, well...I think JKR would just be sucking up to all those slash lovers out there. Though I'll admit, sadly, if you ever get me to read a PG-rated HP slash fic...it'll be S/R. Its the only slash I can stand, oddly enough.

A lot of people are in favor of a Remus/Tonks pairing in the books, but I think that is just creepy.

I've done A LOT of research on the books, and based on time events, JKR interviews, and what characters say in the books...I think Lily and James had Harry when they were 24, died when they were 25 (which is the same age as Sirius going to Azkaban).

I base this one:

1) JKR said Snape was 35 in book 1. Same age as Sirius, James, etc.

2) In GoF, Sirius says Malfoy was a few years ahead of him and Harry's dad.

3) In OotP, Lucius is described in an interview as 41.

So it reasons to believe Sirius and Moony were probably 39 in book 5.

Well I have two for Sirius after OoP. Sadly one is in spanish and you wouldn't understand it (unless....you speak spanish?)

The other one is something Harry would think after OoP. It's "To Where you are" (http://www.lyricscafe.com/g/groban_josh/002.htm) by Josh Groban. Very nice song, and it's almost perfect where it not for the "for you are mine, forever love" ^_- But well, songs for characters can't be 100% perfect can they?

I'm going to try and find a translation to the other one, and if not I shall have to take the non-lazy way and translate it myself *add impressing bgm for better effect please*

Sí, yo lo hablo, un poquito. It's been a long time since I had someone to use it with, though, y estoy muy rusty.

Well I couldn't find any translation to the song so I had to do it myself. It might not be the best thing ever, and not ever word is exactly as the original song but I didn't think the idea would have been the same. So I put what the spanish sentence wanted to say in some cases and there. Hope you like it and I hope it's not totally disastrous

Note: there are just a few remarks by the lyrics made by your's truly, sorry 'bout that.

I'm sorry I entered without calling
it isn't the right hour nor is it the right place
I had to tell you it's not so bad in heaven

Tomorrow you won't even remember
"it was only a dream" you'll repeat to yourself.
And for an answer a fleeting star shall pass by.

Chorus
And when I leave my life on earth shall be at peace.
I just wanted say give by, kiss you and see you once again...

Promises me that you will be happy
you looked so handsome when you laughed
And like that, only like that,
I want to remember you
like before,
Like that, go on
Like that my life (actually more like my dear but well...),
it's better like that

Now you must rest
let me keep you like I did years ago (you say "keep you" when you tug some one in bed right?)
Remember when back then I sang you to sleep?

They only let me come within your dreams to see you
It's just that that sad night I couldn't even say goodbye before I left (Arg! Someone kill me!!)

Chorus

And now it's your turn
It's up to you
to continue our voyage (adventure would sound better ne?)
It's getting late now,
I'm going to have to leave
For in only a few seconds you shall wake up...

In the original song I get the idea that ot's being sung by a mother to her daughter or something on those lines (for example it says "guapa" instead of handsome and that's for a girl/woman). And when it say kiss you it doesn't have the same "strong" meaning it has in english, it's refering to a kiss on the chick or something of the like in the context this is in (no S/H slash fear not, I most certainly do not sail *that* ship). Well hope you enjoyed it.

I'm in my second year of Spanish. And it's an accepted fact that my Spanish teacher, Mr. Lib, doesn't really teach spanish. He's too focused on writing it. You know...adverb. Direct Object. Subject. All that other crap. So grammer comes first in learning Spanish, and actually speaking it is something you pick up along the way. Though...

Yo pongo hablo Spanol tambien!

Sort of off-topic...thank you for reviewing "Sisters"! (Heh, loved the swimsuit calendar idea, but I doubt if Hermione will be willing to display her charms for anyone other than Ron!)

An HP song...hmmm...I can't think of any right now. Will post when I do! :D

Maybe we can get one of the SQ artists to do a swimsuit calendar for us! LOL.

The review was entirely my pleasure. I'm sorry I took so long to write you one!
