1. Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] heidi8!!! Have a fantastic birthday, my dear!

2. Who doesn't love polar bears? Did you know that a bunch of environmental groups are trying to have them listed as an endangered species? You can sign a petition to the President to have them listed right here.

3. [livejournal.com profile] awelkin , I'm thinking about you! *sending good vibes your way*

4. Hugs to [livejournal.com profile] jules1278.

5. Amuse me. Tell me stuff. Inspire me. Play with me.

This morning my mother left a raw duck on the counter to defrost for dinner. I (left home alone) said, "Wait, it takes hours to cook a duck," found a recipe and started cooking.

The house smells like duck in orange wine sauce now.

At least someone's thinking straight! Although at first I read this as you left home alone and your mom remembered it takes hours to cook a duck, but that's neither here nor there. I hope it turns out well and that she's duly appreciative.

I get to go out to dinner with [livejournal.com profile] sotto_voice and another Maine Milliways mun tonight. We're going to a tiny little restaurant called Silly's. They serve things like fried pickles and salad on pizza.

They also have normal stuff, but that's pretty boring.

Drunk Howl was very amusing, the other night. I need to play with you again soon. Only two weeks until Y!

Hey! If it's not too late, say hello for me. If not, I'll just have to say hey to Lexie when she gets back again. And... fried pickles and salad on pizza sound divine to me about now.

I've been having fun with Howl. He's a delicious slippery little bastard to play, and the things he gets away with always amuse me. I'd love a thread with you any time, just let me know when you're of a mind to do it!

Plus, I'm sure there will be much Y-related discussion here after #60. Unless there's nothing to say, but I can't imagine that scenario.

I adore you.

And I adore your characters.

Yeah, that's about all I got right now.

It's entirely mutual.

I got more than that: I got hiccups.

How unseemly. [/Howl] Shit, what if Spike got hiccups under that cloak? Would Beth have to pretend they were hers? Things you never think of in RP, Part III...

She'd blame them on Junior.

What? That little chick kicks and hiccups like no other baby girl on the planet can.

Heh, I so meant to answer this last night but apparently I was otherwise occupied. Your answer was absolutely perfect. Thought you ought to know.

And Spike says he taught her to kickbox in utero so that gave her a head start, but he can still burp louder than her.

The library just got Howl's Moving Castle because I rec'd it to them. And then when the cataloging person was trying to decide whether to put it in kids' or adults', people started sticking their heads out of their cubicles saying, "Howl's Moving Castle? Oh, that's so sweet! I love that movie!" :)

If they love the movie, tell them the books are ten times better (although they absolutely must be read in order). That way, you can give them three times as much Howl for their library experience!

Thanks for the vibes. I'm in pretty good shape today, it seems. Not perfect yet, but so much better than before.

It's going to take a few weeks, but it will happen. And they're serious about not lifting more than 10 pounds; you run the risk of tearing your stitches if you do. But I know you'll be good and precise. I forgot a few times doing automatic things like picking up the cat, but fortunately, I was okay. You will be too!
