...I've decided that no private space on the web is private any more.

I'm all for people friendslocking their LJs, if that's what it takes to express opinions without opening ourselves up to random flame wars.

Fortunately for me, precious few people out there give a rat's ass what I think about things. I'm sure some of my fics have offended people, but there's no way I can please everyone. Nor do I want to. I'm sure some of the statements I've made have offended people.

I'm not on very many e-groups any more, because I found that if people could find a way to twist my words, take them personally, and attack me for my opinions, they would.

I don't have room for that in my life. I try very hard to be a good person and keep a good outlook on things and be fair and honest. But I'm also pretty much cut-and-dried, and if something leaves a bitter taste, I'll simply remove it from my life. I don't want to have to do that with LJ.

I also want to protect my friends and loved ones. I can get aggressive when they're attacked and harmed, and will defend them with everything I've got. Just so you know.

Thank you for taking a stand.

I've thought about friends locking my journal, but I will take a stand and leave it open - and keep posting about personal ethics. (I'll just add a Free Speech disclaimer for visiting FANDOM WANKERS).

That's becoming more and more important to me as I continue my massage education. I've got Educated Heart, and it's a really useful book. I might even ask the person who recommended it for a little mentoring, since we both seem to be on the same ethical wavelength ::innocent whistling::

I'm sure the person who recommended it would be honoured to mentor whenever and wherever possible.

And I only friendslock when it's something personal I want kept just to friends. I'm not afraid of voicing my opinion for whoever wants to hear it.

Frankly for the very little time I've had you on my friends list I think you've been wonderful. And people twisting ones comments happens every where. hell it even happened to me in WWR but I left that idiot looking worse than she already looked *evil grin* So giving a cows ass is usually the best option yes.

Maybe you should friend-lock your LJ if that makes you more comfortable, it has nothing bad about it, or at least I don't think so.

Oh yeah, btw, meet positive birdie avatar, he's a doll :3

I like positive birdie avatar. Meet my silliest avatar.

I'm glad you're on my friends list now. You can always count on me stating my opinion, most often publicly, and most often quite loudly.
