While the Kid's Away...

...you'd think that Mom would play. Or have time to be lazy and sit on the couch eating bonbons and watching TV. Well, shit. The bonbons all have coconut in them, which I can't stand, and I don't watch soaps, and I couldn't even stay awake for Samurai Champloo and Trigun on Adult Swim last night.
I really suck.
Today was my big SLEEP IN day! But. It was not to be: my darling mate, who I love dearly except for right now, decided to work at home today. No big deal; he had conference calls starting at 6AM and if he'd had to go to the office for that, it would've been awful. BUT... he set the kitchen timer for something and it went off way before 8 and he didn't turn off its beeping until it had cycled through about five times and it sounds just like my damn alarm clock. You beginning to see the scenario?
Yeah. Laugh all you want! Then I'll come to your house, katana drawn, and trash the place unless you give me a hundred dumplings. I won't settle for fifty this time. Which reminds me: I need to go back to Uwajimaya and get more of those veggie dumplings. They were unbelievably good. And look! I'm tired! This is entirely random. But you love me anyway. You can admit it. There's a 12-step program available to get over me, by the way, for the low low price of only $19.95 plus shipping and handling.
Ahem.
In real news, I miss my little bean. But clearly there haven't been any emergencies. I'm trying hard not to anticipate what she'll say when she gets back off that bus. I'm not missing getting up early, though. Well, earlier.
I also have tomorrow all to myself. I might... [insert appropriate gasp here] ...do some beadwork. It's been forever. Or I might not. I'm trying to set Thursdays aside as Original Fic Writing Day. Wish me luck.
I'm all done being random at you. The good thing about the guy working at home is we're going out to lunch again today. And tonight we have a movie date to watch Capote... if I'm awake. After lunch, I have a date to be Howl. Sometimes, I just kind of adore
milliways_bar.
Oh, and on the hugs-and-kisses-with-a-latte-because-this-is-the-Northwest front, have fun,
jaylake and
mme_publisher, in the wilds of Over There this weekend.
And now I'm really all done being random at you. Curse that Gemini ascendant. It's never quiet.

I hate work only because it interferes with my RP.
Well, some days that's the only reason I hate it.

Date: 2006-04-13 05:39 pm (UTC)He's an actor. And a writer. And an all-around good-looking generous and funny man, from all accounts.

And the guy writes poetry and plays piano. And is a classically-trained actor, so he knows how to fence.
What else did I leave out?
Oh, yeah! He's friendly to fans!
