Why is this ditty stuck in my brain?
Oh, I know. I was on my feet ALL DAY supervising and helping to teach student massages. Left home at 8, got back at 5:30. Was on my feet from 1-4:30 without a break. So. Back hurts. In chair...
...in my new living room! That's right, Mitch set it up while I was working. I mean, we did the kitchen eating area last night after we got back, and yay! a kitchen table. I don't know about all of you, but I basically grew up in our kitchen. I did all my homework there and my drawing there and my reading there. I was at my most creative there. In my parents' house, we had breakfast and lunch at the kitchen table and dinner always at the dining room table.
I'm just glad to have a table. We've been without one for a long long time. So yes, pictures will be forthcoming.
Now, to put the cushions back on the couch and see if I can figure out how to keep the cats from destroying said couch. And get the food-and-storage part of the kitchen set up so we can cook again. We have everything except the refrigerator. Because, you know, who needs one of those? Actually, it's in the garage awaiting installation. The thing weighs 650 pounds or something ridiculous like that. Maybe next week.
I can't believe this project is almost DONE. Nevermore. But we have a kitchen. A living room. A library. And a table to eat at. I never imagined it would take five months, though. But hey! It did, and now it's done, and tomorrow I hope to be able to beta read the stories in my queue. There's always something.
