(Looks at friends list askance) I updated the 20 Classic Rock Songs meme with answers. The ones no one got, or didn't get all the way, are bolded.

And now for something completely diferent. For my birthday last year, [livejournal.com profile] blanket_cape gave me 3 of the 6 Cowboy Bebop Anime Guides. I'd looked at them in the store a hundred times and thought... I have all the sessions, do I need these? The answer is a resounding YES. They're like miniature treasure chests with these little bits of trivia about the show, the production, the characters, the background. So. I got the last 3 for myself and I'm so glad I did. Who knew there was an actual bounty hunting licensing exam that you take at an ISSP window? Heh.

OK.

Mailing [livejournal.com profile] villainny's package today. Go me. I'm good. Someone needs to send me a care package. Speaking of which, where's my UPS delivery? Helloooooooo, I know it's on the truck, I have your number at the web site, I know it's out for delivery... I have to leave in an hour! I want my BEBOP STUFF before I go!

Just chatting with [livejournal.com profile] hfleming8. What a pleasant way to pass the time.

But back to it, Welcome to Dogstar Academy v3.0! We are fine and happy and alive and well and I'm going to close membership for a while until we get our feet firmly entrenched in London instead of up in the mountains by Cadair Idris. I want everyone to be able to explore what this means for them and for their characters before we start inviting anyone else to join us. (Sometimes, elite is fun. And sometimes, it's very fun.)

Speaking of elite, I am an elitist about a good number of things. And I don't think there's anything remotely wrong with that. I'm an elitist about the people I'll write and roleplay with, and I'm an elitist about my responsibilities, and... yeah. So there.

Randomly: [livejournal.com profile] lostinapapercup, remember that privacy stuff we were talking about last night? It sounds almost even more appealing by daylight. So does the whole Earth thing, because the guy with the fuzzy hair has a lot of ideas about that now. A lot of good ideas, might I stress. But don't let him try to influence you. He's just a skinny little Gemini with a bad attitude and a big bad IMI Jericho 941.

*insert idle whistling here* Am about to spend $800 getting my 120k-miles car fixed up. Can't drive without brakes, can I. That would be shamefully bad. So I've got a rented Ford Taurus today and I have a confession to make: I HATE IT. There. I said it. I've never met a Ford car I loved, not even my ex's old 66-1/2 Mustang 2x2 fastback. Truck, yes. Car, no. Give me an F150 pickup and a pair of cowboy boots and I'm yee-haw happy, especially considering I live in Oregon (rhymes with Or-ee-GUN so hell yeah I got a gun rack on the back of my pickup, what's yer problem?).

Owl post!

Watch this space.

There. Did it go anywhere? No. This is just my way of saying I'll have an official Bill Weasley Fic Update here for you soon. Read on, kids! Catch you later.

I know someone in particular who needs to send you a care package.

I also know someone who's been slowly gathering more stuff to be to you and has stack called "Gwynne's stuff" on a table in her living room.

You know, at this point I have thought about just waiting until your birthday. It could be a birthday-in-a-box for you.

Or maybe I'll just cave and send you two. How 'bout that.

Mmm. Your icon makes me hunger for sushi.

And I already know what to get you for your next birthday. I think.

Wow, I *so* did not picture you as a cowboy-boots-and-pickup-truck kind of gal. Can you read tarot cards and still own cowboy boots? I thought the two were mutually exclusive, but there you go: it's just my stereotypes getting in the way! Silly me...:0)

<<---is also exclusive about who(m?) she will write with.

We always buy Fords. But that's because my husband knows how to fix anything on them, and we save so much money in repairs and maintenance that the...other things become tolerable.

Hi.

Been reading the board and enjoying every minute of it. I miss it muchly. Everyone is doing a great job!!

Goodness, I'm so sorry you rented a Ford. (/Gag) Yup... I'm another who can't stand Fords. I had an Escape for about two months and HATED driving it. That is why I now drive the pretty Toyota Camry Solara sitting in my driveway. :-) Yes, that is what I traded that Escape for, and I couldn't be happier (even though we were so incredibly upside-down in that trade causing my car payment to be quite ungodly). It was worth it. We also have a Dodge Dakota pickup (sorry, no gunrack) that is very nice to drive.

Can't wait to see what develops at Dogstar. Will keep reading.
