[livejournal.com profile] sff_corgi wants me to post this in my LJ, even though I didn't follow the rules and narrow it down as much as possible.

1. Who is your favorite animated character? Why?
Spike from Bebop. No big surprise but a departure; usually I go for the bad boys. I like Spike because he's so bad he's good. He doesn't take shit from anyone and has no trouble dishing it out to others. He's a cool almost-troubled loner but... he doesn't really care what others think of him. In fact, he's almost too cool to be animated.

2. Who is your favorite television character? Why?
I rarely watch television, so this one's hard. I think I'm going to have to go with the totally beleaguered Claire from Six Feet Under because she reminds me of me at that age. Wish I'd driven a hearse!

3. Who is your favorite (no longer in production) televison character? Why?
Oh, well... I'm thinking I have to stake a claim to Inspector Morse's faithful sidekick, Detective Sergeant Lewis (Kevin Whately). He was always so underappreciated, and so, so expert at his job, and Whately portrayed him to perfection.

Either Lewis or Emma Peel (The Avengers). She so rocked.

Either Lewis or Emma Peel or Kato (Green Hornet) - Bruce Lee. 'Nuff said.

4. Who is your favorite television ensemble cast? Why? (If you don't have one/want to imagine the possibilities, assemble one and explain your choices and the fandoms they are from.)
I'm going with Larry David and his completely inept circle of friends and family on Curb Your Enthusiasm. The show is maddening to watch, all done as improv, and the cameos and recurring appearance of Wanda Sykes make it irritatingly delightful. Cheryl Hines is priceless.

5. Who is your favorite movie character? Why?
Aside from local favorite Aragorn (because he's portrayed exactly as I imagined him all those years ago when I first read Tolkien, although he's too angsty and fangrrlish a choice to be my favorite favorite), I'm torn between Ed Tuttle (Howard Hesseman, Rubin and Ed), Gilbert Grape (Johnny Depp, What's Eating Gilbert Grape?), and Jules Winnfield (Samuel L Jackson, Pulp Fiction). Eeny, meeny, miney moe...

Honorable mention to Claude Rains in Casablanca for having the best line in any movie, bar none.

In other news, my costume needs a little tweaking. I'm going to have to carry a rat, I think. If you don't get it... you shouldn't be reading my journal in the first place.
