...and I almost forgot...

...to pimp the writing challenge.
So, is it the subject matter that's too something or other? Or perhaps everyone's just busy with school. Or doesn't want to write. I guess I'll try it one more time next month, and then if people don't seem interested, I'll give it a rest.
Anyway. That aside... it's 12:30 and everyone's finally asleep. Except me, and that's fine; I know enough about myself to know that I need time to myself. The kids were very good and everyone's gotten along swimmingly. I think I had something profound to write, but Spike stole my brain and made me tell stories about his time on the Bebop and tonight I only have the capacity to be thinking in one brain at a time. Last night I had a crazy urge to app Gren, but thankfully someone saner than me talked me out of it.
Now for the random neural firings part:
Heh. I can tell my daughter's almost a teenager: she got a lava lamp for a present.
My cat Tribble is wanting attention. I think she likes it when I'm sitting up in what used to be my office before it became the family computer room. Usually I'm downstairs in the living room and she's just grooving on me being here in old haunts. Sitting by the computer, reaching out for me with her paw, purring up a storm.
I think my husband is traveling each of the next three weeks. (Anyone have a pool boy they don't need? I might want to borrow him.)
School is almost done for the year for Hannah. Less than a month left.
I'm sitting in as resident expert on the panel for a communications class at the massage school next Wednesday. This is the first time I'll be doing it for a different teacher, and this teacher was a student not so very long ago! He's a good guy, though.
I wonder if I won Powerball. That'd be a kick. The party would be on me.
People out there in friendslist land: if you could ask for three things right now, what would they be? Don't censor yourself and feel like you have to ask for an end to fighting or world peace. I'm just curious.

3. A handsome, intelligent, charming "boyfriend" who is switched on and trotted out of his box mainly for display at social gatherings. Referee-heckling abilities a plus.
