So guess what.

I laughed aloud at a few of the parts and got a little nostalgic at some of the others (mostly at the snowballs enchanted to bash Quirrel's turban repeatedly). I thought about this first on the way back from London, after meeting up withjaneylou, finally. But I didn't have any of the books with me, so... now I do. I've slowly started moving my HP fanfic over to Archive of our Own. I started with Black Dog (Sirius and James) and the second one is Adventures in Curse-Breaking (Bill Weasley). I realize it's all the rage these days to write next-gen HP stuff and that this older stuff is looked on a little bit like people look on someone way behind the times: with a little bit of sad indulgent fondness. But I really don't give a shit. I don't see myself writing a lot more HP fanfic, if any, but it doesn't mean I can't appreciate the stuff I've already written.
