Apr. 2nd, 2006 02:53 pmI didn't want to post this yesterday because it wasn't a joke, even though it sure felt like one at the time.
Yesterday, I woke up (earlier than I thought -- didn't I tell everyone I wouldn't ever get enough sleep during spring break?) to a loud incessant meowing. At first I thought Hector was chasing my elderly stateswoman cat, Fudge, so I looked under the bed and there was Fudge, happy as a clam. But I kept hearing the meowing, so I got up and looked outside my window and there, meowing to be let in, was Captain Jack.
What's weird about that, you ask?
My bedroom window is on the third floor of the house. For the life of me, I can't figure out how JackAttack got up there, but fortunately the screen popped nicely out of the window and he climbed right in.
I'm still scratching my head over that one. Jack, dear Jack: how the hell did you get up on the roof, you little munchkin, you? And why didn't I know you were out all night? For what it's worth, he stayed pretty close to home the rest of the day.
