One Good Reason
Feb. 17th, 2005 11:44 am...never to eat even virtual hash brownies.
On another note, we re-enrolled Hannah at her school for next year. I have to say: I already really like her next-year-teacher. She runs the drama club; everyone says she's one of those "once-in-a-lifetime" types of teachers that kids remember for the rest of their lives. Hannah already really likes her. We mentioned to her once that for the science fair project, Hannah needed a standalone table so she didn't disrupt the other projects. Mentioned it once. When we went to get set up this morning, Mrs. Moore met us there and said, "Hannah, you're over here, they're bringing up your table and it will be ready by the time you're finished with your morning math class."
And the other day in drama club, she pulled me aside to tell me that when Hannah first got there (after school that day), she'd been kind of sad and told her she didn't want to do drama club. Mrs. Moore said "Hannah, you seem to be a person with very strong emotions. Drama's good for that sometimes, want to try?" And that was all it took; it was the perfect way to handle Miss Hannah.
So I'm looking forward to the 5th and 6th grades for my daughter. I think she'll do so very well.
Science fair tonight. I get to go pick up Hannah and bring her back home, then bring her back to school again. How very very very fun. I'm so sick of that half-hour drive each way.
Then next week she has Monday and Friday off. On Friday I'm up to the mountains with the massage class for the weekend. Yes, I'm taking a WHOLE weekend off. No computer, no cell phone.
Hmm. Perhaps I should have saved the virtual brownies to use then.
Cure for bored? Watch Session #... [random pick] 18. Although I promised myself 23 the other day.
