I love surprises!

First: Happy Halloween! And the happiest of happy birthdays to my mom and my older sister!

Last night Mitch and Hannah took me to dinner. It was supposed to be a combined anniversary/birthday dinner, and he wouldn't tell me where we were going.

When we got there, the hostess said, "Oh, yes, it's a rather large party; some of you are already here." I raised an eyebrow but figured maybe his mom was meeting us there, or his brother and sister-in-law or something, so that's who I was looking for.

I was surprised. I was VERY surprised! It turned out to be entirely a surprise birthday party for me (I guess you have to wait till you're really old for one of those!), and sitting there were cedricsmistress, carlythemeek, sff_corgi (all the way from the TROPICS!), and my non-LJ-attached friends Holly, Curt, and their daughter Sara. Turns out Hannah knew about it the whole time and didn't say a word, and she is now my new official Secret Keeper.

I only wish I didn't have such a busy week at work. Had I known, I'd blow everybody off and make them all go away. As it is, I can't really do that. But at least sff_corgi gets to be here till Thursday, so we'll be able to cause plenty of mayhem.

I solemnly swear that we are up to no good.
