First, stolen from
delleve:

You are Morgan Le Faye, King Arthur's sister. One
of the most mysterious and enchanting lady of
Camelot, Morgan was an powerful sorceress.
Which Lady of Camelot Are You?

Go me. I get to be a sorceress. BIG surprise.
So after I got home from work tonight I saw all this grey activity outside the front door and for a moment I thought it was my errant wandering cat, but it proved to be four of the baby raccoons who were born in my yard this summer. We call them Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs, for lack of better names. One of them lies on the deck outside my kitchen door just like a dog, head on paws, tail curled around (Homer Simpson d'oh! moment: that must be Padfoot).
Today, one of the four ate food out of mypaw hand. I don't like to do that (and it is really stupid because, you know, they're wild critters), but it was kind of satisfying nonetheless.
I will try not to obsess over Jack.

I will try not to obsess over Jack.
Our satellite internet gets fixed tomorrow.
I finished my James & Sirius fifth-year fic last night. Thank you to my two betas,
sff_corgi (who is also kind of like my main squeeze in a non-slash kind of way if that makes any sense), and
cedricsmistress. When the Quill is back up -- now it looks like 7 September at the soonest -- I'll submit it along with all the other huge backlog of fics. If I download an FTP client I can put it on my web site first. Or... I can upload it to the Weird_Sisters yahoo!group, where I also have a folder. So many options.
So much fun writing 5th-years for a change. I like taking the HP characters out of their elements but keeping them in character. It's a good challenge.
