I hate when that happens!
Jun. 30th, 2004 03:04 pmI spent the entire morning at the car dealership. Brought my laptop and managed to finish all my beta reading which is a very good thing, but couldn't send any of it off. Why doesn't everyone just have a free wireless network hanging around? That would make sense. I'm so spoiled by what we have at home.
Anyway, it took four hours and I had a beautiful LJ entry but it got lost; apparently this new version doesn't automatically save your draft. [glares] No snide comments from the peanut gallery but there was a really cute miniature poodle named Murphy that I get to pet, and a Westie named Fiona that didn't stay all so very long. They were both sweet little dogs.
Now I'm home, I've sent off my stuff, I can place my CafePress order and check my messages, and... my house is under attack by a raccoon family. The babies are making the most bizarre half-squeal half-chirping sound. I suppose that's normal. They're getting big enough to be ornery and fight with each other, too. Probably with the skunk family living under the front steps as well, which explains why I keep my front windows closed at night.
I don't want to go to work later. In fact, I want to quit. But then my massage clients would be nagging me to come to their houses, and I really don't want to be in the mobile massage business unless it's just for a very few people. Hmm... ponder, ponder, ponder.
