So I worked today, and now it appears that in my rush to be honest and open about what I needed in my work environment, I've become persona non grata. Even my friend Theresa was hardly talking to me. Now, I could just be taking things a mite personally, but...

Damn. I've never been more ready for a vacation! And of course, since today was my last day of work, I got a ton of calls from people after I was done asking for massages this week.

I don't think so. Move over, Miami. Here I come.

For those of you technogeeky enough to want to know:

  1. Ad-aware from Lavasoft

  2. Spybot Search and Destroy from Patrick Kolla

  3. Hijack This from Soeperman Enterprises Ltd.

  4. The peper trojan removal utility from various sources

Ad-aware sweeps your system and lets you quarantine nasty stuff.

Spybot Search and Destroy looks in the registry to see what's invaded there and removes it if you want it to.

Hijack This just gives a log of what's executing on your system so you can have it analyzed by an expert at any number of computer forum web sites.

The peper trojan removal utility goes into the registry and deletes the offending piece of garbage that mutilates your system, takes up system memory, spawns irritating keyboard-hijacking processes, and spawns popups.

Just so y'all know. I'm not pimping the products, but they worked for me. I also liked the forums at Lavasoft; there's a lot of great information in there if you have the patience to sort through it all. I hope you never have to.
