My baby treo broke last night, so today I get to spend time taking it to the Sprint store for diagnostics. My hopes are not high. The tech support guy even wished me good luck! That's never a good sign.

Fortunately I still have my old cell & it's charged, so if the worst happens and I have to ship the little puppy back to the manufacturer, I'll still be able to run my business. And my virtual school. Phew.

It's 7:30. I'm ready for my nap. Woke up just like that before 6am. No no no no no!

Plus, my computer's acting all sorts of weird. Bad week for technology. Thank heavens for the spare laptop. (crossing fingers that it keeps working...)

No free advertising here, but I have to say I am quite fond of the people at Sprint. They're sending me a brand-new baby treo after saying phrases like 'Well! Would you look at that!' and 'I've never seen anything like that before!'

Now you have, space cowboys. Now you have. And you can tell them all about it.

So I'm all like... and she's all like... and we're all going...

I drive home through downtown Old Town Sherwood (hey, the place used to be called 'Smockville,' so it's an improvement) today, and there's like this ohmygod!hugest wardrobe truck parked in the place where the old movie theatre used to be, you know the one they had to tear down because of earthquake damage that used to be the Oriental before it was the Robin Hood, in keeping with the irritating theme of the town, near where those two businesses burned down in one night in a blaze of flame at 4am? and like a dozen more HUGE big trucks for all sorts of stuff blocking the road with traffic cones and shit and all these people standing around smoking and watching and I'm like, what are those and she's like, what are those? and I'm like, hey, babe, that's right, they're filming that movie here in our little town, half a block away from where I work. And so like half the town turns out for the setup and a glimpse at Mr I-am-the-Matrix-franchise himself but who couldn't ever in a million years have stolen the scene from Chaz Cherry in Sweet November.

At first, I thought it was some ungodly huge setup for the Missoula Childrens' Theatre, which is also in town for the week. But nooooooo, it's those Hollywood Types. I just found out I can now try to pinpoint several familiar film faces roaming the streets of my precious haunted downtown. Oooooh!

But damn... all the restaurants were busy tonight. At my local Mex place, it took forever. I'm all like: ohmygod!tanned people with SUNGLASSES drinking DOS EQUIS! They're so not locals!

Hee. I'm actually probably one of the least easily star-struck people I know. Comes from all those days spent setting up lights and building stage sets for Really Famous Rock Stars who were mostly kind of irritating and full of themselves, but not all.

Oh mama. I got stories to tell... but I won't. It would ruin my grounded mellow happy massage therapist reputation, wouldn't it.

And this for Corgi: SQUEE! Just because.
