Train of Consciousness Night

It's been a weird couple of days. Last night I was a zombie. Tonight I'm not... at least not yet.
:
I updated my web space today. It was overdue.
:
I decided I'm going to modify my Sirius fic to reference Medeni as a fifth-year at least a couple of times.
:
Hannah had a bad day at school today. I'm going in early tomorrow to talk to her teacher, who is a little... erm... scattered. I love this part of parenting.
:
My Halloween costume is almost complete. It's my favorite day of the year, pretty much, when I get to be someone other and no one looks at me like: Gah! Idiot! Of course, if they only knew, they could do that all year long. I'm always someone other somewhere in my brain. I'm transgendering this year... scare the kids at Hannah's school again. Heh.
:
My friend Sandy needs to LJ.
:
I love our role-play board. We need more students. I'm so glad
blanche_malfoy joined. I hope
bear_brand does too. If he takes my class, I promise no homework.
:
Teaching Transfiguration is hard work. There's next to no reference in canon for it. It's more than wave the wand and mutter an incantation. I have to make it all up, and make it seem convincing. And the Animagic stuff is even harder than the straight Transfiguration. What have I gotten myself into. At least at my old site, someone thought my classes were good enough to borrow.
:
I don't miss that old site very much, though. I like being able to be selective about membership. Ours is a site for writers and actors more than anything. Of course, being HP-obsessed is imperative, too.
:
I once was speaking at Oregon School of Massage to a communications class--you know, I was resident expert LMT sharing experiences--and wore my Jason-for-Sirius campaign shirt. One of the students asked me about it ("It's obviously got something to do with Harry Potter," she said sagely) so I told her in all seriousness that I of course pre-screened my clients to make sure they were Harry Potter fans before I'd let them on my massage table. Oh really! Some people believe anything. I saw a lot of heads nodding as if that were really a good way to build a massage business. Heh.
:
We need more students on our board. OCs welcome. That sounds like some weird ad for Motel 6 or something.
:
I sent a letter to JKR herself. I wonder idly if I'll ever hear back. I meant to mail it before our trip to Victoria, but I didn't have an air-mail stamp. So it went to Canada and back with me.
:
Yesterday I mailed off packages to
sff_corgi,
sunny_daylee,
myfanwy, and
elseculpepper. Today I mailed a package to
hellcatjelybean. I wonder who gets theirs first and last: any bets? I'm thinking California first, Philippines last. But I could be wrong. England could be last.
:
Playing multiple people is weird. I have my characters' dreams for them sometimes. That's just odd.
:
It's kind of a lonely night. Oh well. Back to work tomorrow.

Date: 2003-10-17 07:42 am (UTC)In fact, I'm reading this instead of getting ready for work. Eeep!
Sorry it was lonely last night, but Sleep Is Good. Fixes things, really. Headache gone. (Wonder if it had anything to do with the drat-my-jeans-are-too-small-again.)
Ooops.
