I was going to have a very busy day at work today, but one of my clients cancelled. It works out better that way, actually, because I can do the things I need to do before going to work now. It's always busier when I'm solo parenting. This two-week stint will be the longest yet, and it should be okay because Hannah's at an age where she's really very self-sufficient. Last night she actually said "I think I'll do my homework now, get it out of the way." That's my girl!

Maybe I'll even get (gasp!) some of my own writing done. I know you all voted for me to finish Sirius Year 7, but I've got a hankering for working on my original fic. You all ought to know, anyway, that whenever someone tells me what to do I dig in my heels and get all kinds of stubborn and do the opposite (points to quiz results, hem, hem).

Autumn in Ganymede -- shouldn't that be Autumn on Ganymede, because Ganymede's the name of the celestial body, not the city or town? (This question should be proof positive that a mind is a terrible thing to waste.) By the way, Hannah thinks this song sounds like something out of The Incredibles when Mr. Incredible goes to his tropical island. I agree.
