Today, there is a Yet Another Cat hanging around pitifully by our front door. This one is a kitten with a collar and no tags and if it's still here tomorrow I'll take it to a local vet and ask them to scan him or her for a chip. It's beautiful, a light gray tabby. It unfortunately doesn't match the description of the lost light gray tabby that's on signs everywhere because this one has claws and that one is declawed.
Now what do we do? Let it live in our garage? Geeze, universe. We can't fit any more cats into our house!

Date: 2005-01-12 06:28 pm (UTC)When I finally turned my head to my right, to see if any of the dogs were out, there was a grey cat meatloafed on the porch-edge, facing me, just as comfy and secure as if it lived there.
It didn't bolt when I moved inside the car, just when I finally got out; slunk down the front steps and around into the plants. Looked like it might have had a fluffy tail, and I think grey, but in that light it was hard to be sure.
I was kind of disappointed it didn't hang out and wait to be skritched.
