On Hannah's request, we took Grandma and Grandpa to OMSI (that's Oregon Museum of Science and Industry for the uninitiated). My dad in particular was fascinated by all the exhibits and we did make them go into the earthquake room just for fun. This was all after we went out for a late breakfast/early lunch (hmm, I suppose you call that 'brunch,' don't you?). It was a nice cool way to spend a hot day.

Tomorrow Hannah wants to take them to the movies. Her film of choice is Prisoner of Azkaban and I know I will sit there watching and hope yet again that the story will be told differently this time. But hey, I've earned a free movie ticket from Regal Cinemas (better bloody well have after all the movies I've paid to see), so if I sleep (or laugh) my way through it, it won't cost me anything.

Other than the $250 for popcorn and drinks and whatnot.

And in the evening, I'm makin' waffles! No, we're taking my mother-in-law out to dinner. It's great having my folks here and I love them very much. They're low-key and easy guests to have. All we need is to make a run to the package store and they'll be even happier (all I usually have is wine).

I'll be back to more interesting journal entries after this visit. Who wants to hear about what it's like when parents come to play anyhow... although I have to tell you, my parents were enchanted with the idea of my role-play board and asked many questions about how it worked, and I think they were tickled pink when they finally got the concept of the interactions. That was fun. I told you they're awesome.
