I Love

It's easy to repost things and let someone else's words do the talking, but those of you who know me also know that's not what I'm all about or who I am. I've seen a lot of interesting and insightful posts lately -- some respectful of privacy and some not -- with regards to homophobia. For those who don't know, here's my take on it, in my own words.

Love is a precious, precious thing and it comes to us in many different shapes and forms. That any two people in this wide world of ours can find one another is a miracle all its own. The form love takes for me is no better than the form it takes for you or for you or for you or for anybody else: it deserves to be cherished nonetheless. Be attracted to men, to women, to both, to neither, and act on it in a way that fulfills you as a human being. Self-identify as straight, gay, bisexual, lesbian, transgender, queer, asexual -- whatever term you want -- or don't self-identify at all: you're still the person I know and respect and love and admire, regardless of the labels society loves to use. What happens in the privacy of anyone's bedroom is of no concern to me, so long as all involved are in agreement that it's what they want. For the sake of clarification, need I add the term consenting adults?

That's the end of the story from me. This may not jive with what you believe or the way you were brought up, but now you have my opinion on the matter.

word! althoug hif it hadnt' made me say amen the way it does now i'd still like you all the way. I alwasy think for me people have a name and that's what i remember them adn if they click with me it's fine ,adn if not well then that was it.
