adios_cowboy - Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop). A quote from the first episode, Katerina to Spike, after a moment's flirtation.
ayebrother - Desmond Hume (Lost). It's one of his signature verbal tics, I guess.
bill_weasley - Bill Weasley (Harry Potter)! Self-explanatory.
bornofjenova - Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII Compilation). Well, he was infused with Jenova cells in utero.
bothbutneither - Gren Eckener (Cowboy Bebop). "I'm both at once, and I'm neither one." Mr. Saxophone is full-frontal duality.
cloakandclaw - Vincent Valentine (Final Fantasy VII Compilation). It... refers to his garb.
damn_sunflowers - Mugen (Samurai Champloo). If it wasn't for that damn samurai who smelled of sunflowers, he wouldn't have had to go all the way to Nagasaki.
just_vicious - Vicious (Cowboy Bebop). Well, he is. Was. On multiple levels.
little_werecub - Mary Frances McCarthy (Harry Potter OC) who just happened to be a little werewolf.
mr_c_weasley - Charlie Weasley (Harry Potter). As self-explanatory as his big brother's journal!
no_real_hero - Hero Brown (Y: The Last Man). A play on her name, and her opinion of herself.
not_that_spike - Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop). When I joined milliways_bar way long ago, there was already a Spike from Buffy. So... not that Spike.
notapreacher - Gren Eckener (Cowboy Bebop). A quote from Faye to Gren: "I don't know why I'm telling you all this. I feel like I'm in a confession booth. You're not a preacher by any chance, are you?"
oakandash- Willy Silver (War for the Oaks). By oak and by ash! or just plain Oak and ash! is a common expression amongst the fey in the book.
silvanacaptain - Alex Row (Last Exile). Yeah, you got it, he's the captain of the Silvana.
sleazeoverstyle - Reno (Final Fantasy VII Compilation). Well, he is pretty sleazy, and in addition to being noted for that stellar quality, he's also noted for his rumpled and unkempt appearance. He's not exactly what anyone would call a fashion stylista.
sorrydontsuitme - Sawyer (Lost). When Kate asks if he's going to apologize, he tells her "Sorry don't suit me." It took the longest time for me to learn to type his username without the apostrophe.
sosirius - Sirius Black (Harry Potter). This was my first ever LJ, even before my personal one. Wow. It's just a play on his name vs. "so serious."
stubbornshowoff - Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop). Annie says: "You've never listened to anyone in your whole life. And on top of that you're a stubborn show-off." How could I not use a journal name like that? It fits Spike to a tee.
sun_hwa - Sun-Hwa Kwon (Lost). It's her name, although she goes by Sun.
wizard_howell - Howl Pendragon (Howl's Moving Castle). His given name is Howell, and he's a wizard. Put the two together and you come up with someone who loves to spend hours in the bath dyeing his hair and sliming the castle.
youowemeafavor - Marquis de Carabas (Neverhwere). Favors are his preferred method of commerce, and canonically no one ever really wants to owe a favor to the Marquis because they know he'll collect whnever it's least convenient for them.
