I feel... like I should be doing something. So I'm going to do this here writing challenge. Feel free to join in. We're going longer, but don't let that fluster you. I love everything from short-short-short works to the longer ones but this isn't the place to catch up on that last chapter you never completed for NaNoWriMo.
Since it's the holiday season and the spirit of giving, we're going with a gift-centered theme here, but... with a twist. Read on.
Rules:
Fandom: any fandom your little old heart desires, either original or not, but no real-person stories.
Word count: 1000 or less
Main theme: A gift unexpectedly received.
Ratings: No restrictions.
Duration: Challenge opens now (December 1) and closes at 11:59 p.m. in whatever time zone you inhabit on Sunday, December 9.
Post your ficlets as comments to this entry. Feel free to do as few or as many as you want, and if you see one you really like, be sure to leave a review or a comment. Have at it, and have fun. I know this is a busy time of year for people and a lot of you are working on Yuletide fics too, but what the heck, right?
