Whoa.

That was a long game. I feel like I've been watching baseball for months.

Oh, wait.

I have.

Me too. <3

Yay! :D

The season's about a month longer than I'd like it to be. This is the time of year when football reigns supreme--or at least, it SHOULD. Stupid November date if the Series goes to game 7!

Baseball for my birthday! I don't know if it'll go all seven games, though.

I CAN'T BELIEVE I FELL ASLEEP AND MISSED IT.

I wondered where you were! I thought that maybe, just maybe, you'd found some benevolent British sports bar that was actually airing American baseball.

It was pretty cool, though it got embarrassing for the Rockies about the 5th inning. They couldn't seem to find a pitcher who could locate the plate, and... yeah. It didn't look much like world class baseball. But it supports my supposition that it's the playoff games that are much more interesting than the big kahuna.

But... can we just say Pedroia's the Rookie of the Year now and leave it at that?

It's so much fun to watch him do well. :)

Man, I wish I could find a benevolent British sports bar. My problem with it is that I live in a not-so-great neighborhood where I'm not willing to go far by myself after dark. Finding a sports bar would require going far, for a game that doesn't start til 1 A.M., and having to get back around 5 or 6, all of which would be alone, since my one friend here who likes baseball is a frothing-at-the-mouth Yankees fan. So going out is sadly out of the question!

Yeah, I went through this morning, watching highlights clips and shrieking into my hands with barely-suppressed glee; beautiful stuff, for the Sox. Sucks to be the Rockies, though, especially in that fifth inning.

I think we can. I am disgustingly proud.

Yeeeeah. You didn't miss much after about the fourth or fifth inning, like Gwynne said.

JO! How's the Red Sox Nation up in your neck of the woods? Behaving? Watching? Bored? Complacent? Excited? I do miss Boston this time of year but I wish they'd stop showing the ball going through Buckner's legs every five minutes.

Well, I didn't get a single person in the store after 8:00 PM yesterday, and more than one kid in my Philosophy class has suggested they might skip next week if there is a game 5.

Though as usual, no one is taking any wins for granted. This is the Red Sox, after all.

Y'know, no matter the cause, such benevolent devotion's a joy to see.
