Yeah, so?

(aka Random 'r' Us)

Last night, I made fritattas.

Mmm. If you're an egg lover, they were... really good. I sauteed up some minced garlic in oil, then added diced orange peppers and let them cook a while. Added 4 eggs and a bunch of feta cheese and some soy sausage, pepper and onion salt, topped it all with some hot paprika, and let it cook. Once the bottom was nicely seared I folded it in half and let it finish cooking. Topped it with sliced green onion and roasted red pepper sauce.

Today I got to play the voice of experience for a bunch of massage school students. That was fun. I like doing it. I saw a teacher I used to work with there but haven't seen in ages and she said I should come back and TA for her again. Hahahaha, yeah. But I might take her spa class that she teaches, and then TA. Nothing like reinforcement in massage technique.

Tonight (hey! it's my past 24 hours in a nutshell, how 'bout that) we get to go to Hannah's school for Poetry Cafe, where all the 5th- and 6th-graders share the poems they've written over the year. I have a sneaking suspicion I'm going to be asked to get up on stage and read a poem with Hannah. *dresses for the occasion* And then we scurry home for the Lost grand finale, and then tomorrow's officially Just Another Day, then it's a 4-day weekend with Pirates.

Crap. The Red Sox are losing. So it goes. That's the peril of my darling husband having subscribed to the MLB package on cable.

I bought new shoes and a new shirt. I deserve them both.

Tomorrow's my day off for the week. I'm glad, because I have to work Saturday. I really can't wait for summer when I can sleep late and stay up even later. I'm like a little kid counting the days. Hey, if this is one of the perks of being a mom, I'll take it.

Black turtleneck and capris? *snaps for the beat poet*

Hahaha, no. No beat era. Just hippie era stuff and yeah, I did get up and read a poem with Hannah. It was fun. I'm immortalized on film now.

Just dropping in to say I probably won't see you tonight. I know we had plans but I seem to have come down with a cold and simply keeping my eyes open has become a chore. But tomorrow, or whatever day I get to watch it, we shall gab.

P.S. - Thanks for the card, it was sweet.

Oh, I'm glad you got it. :) And a good show is always worth watching at least twice.

FWIW, the Red Sox can't be doing worse than the Yankees :-p

Have fun at the poetry reading! And now I want to eat some eggs.

Actually, one of my customers said the Sox were losing to the Yankees. :/

Really? I haven't really been checking the baseball news on Yahoo! so I am a bit behind.

Well, maybe the Sox are doing better in the standings.

The Sox are 9 1/2 games ahead of the Yankees in the AL East, but the Yankees just won 2/3 in the Bronx.

Tchah, I forgot about Lost. So many reasons why I haven't seen you tonight. :) It's a proverbial mixed blessing, though. My CD/DVD drive has decided it doesn't like being a DVD drive any more, just a CD drive, so my brand-new Netflix subscription gets to be watched at work. Good thing anime comes subtitled instead of just depending on audio....
