I just realized: my daughter is Hermione.

She really is Hermione.

When we were on the overnight, the kids studied wetlands and waterways. They had a whole series of mini-classes with their own activities, and every single time one of the group leaders would ask a question about the science of what they were doing, Hannah's hand shot into the air. It got to the point where the staff would ask a question, and follow it with "does anyone besides Hannah know the answer?"

Because she was right about 95% of the time.

I love my little Hermione-girl. I'm so proud of her.

Wow! Go Hannamione!

Sounds kinda like me in practical Music Theory. Got to the point where Gil would tell me to go write the notation for the first tune on the board and ask for hands on the other one. And I was almost always right.

It's always a pleasure to hear about Hannah doing well and eager to share in school. Yay for Hannamione! ^_^ (I like that - good one!)

I used to be like that when I was small too. Hermiones of the world, unite! :)

Nice one Hannah! I wish my Els was like that. The only time she raises her hand is to shoot a finger up her snotter. I give up! Maybe she will grow out of it.

Hmm. I rather think she is Hermione with a nice twist of Ron. Hermione is far too serious all the time and I think Hannah is rather good at throwing in some entertaining silly. But I'm not surprised to find she is the smartest kid in her class. :)
