Feb. 19th, 2012 01:23 pmSo! Very! Sick! YAY! Good thing this didn't happen 2 weeks ago. Bad thing it happened now, I have a busy week coming up. I'm just hibernating away, trying to get better fast and doing lots of self-Reiki, but obviously not thinking clearly enough. I just tried ordering something online and had my credit card declined, tried it again, same thing. Well, duh, you can't claim something's one type of card when it's another.
Anyway. Since Mitch & I watched all of Game of Thrones ("what, no more Dothraki?") we started watching Season 1 of Downton Abbey last night. Plowed through three episodes, and I'm hopeful we'll watch more tonight, if my eyes clear up enough to focus, that is (I'm miserable, absolutely miserable). So far I love the show. I told him it's like Remains of the Day but with a sense of humor. But now I want to watch that again too, because it's been too long. Also, Maggie Smith is hysterical, I love her and her character to pieces. Someone once asked me if I could act with any one person in the world, who would it be? I didn't even hesitate before picking her as my #1 choice.
batyatoon, I haven't forgotten about your story! I promise! Turning over the options in my brain, very slowly because I'm distracted. I'd hoped to work on it yesterday but it was not to be. Also,
scribble_myname, I did get your stuff, I'm waiting until my brain clears up a little bit before I go over it. I'm not ignoring it, just want to do my best on it and right now I don't think I could do my best at much of anything but end-game Cathy Earnshaw Lintoning around the house in a moping and mournful way. TAKE ME TO THE WINDOW I WANT TO SEE THE HEATHER ONE LAST TIME.
On the good news front, the guy's ribs are healing up, slowly but surely, and he's able to do more every day. Don't break ribs, people. Just don't. There's nothing they can do to make them heal any faster. On the less positive side, if you're going to stay awake all day and all night for the first ten days to take care of said broken-ribbed patient, expect to get sick afterward. It's practically the law. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE.
