Ed loves piyokos!
Dec. 23rd, 2007 03:23 pm...I have a small crate of satsuma mandarins. All is right with the world.
There are simple reasons I love this time of year. It was either the satsuma mandarins or the California clementines, and there was really no question in my mind.
In Spike's Millicanon, he calls these little orange gems onsui-kajitsu and they were a delicacy on Mars. One of these days I'll make a catalog of all the things I've made up for that universe; it's kind of a fun list. From Telesto Pops to onsui-kajitsu to lava birds, I've had tons of fun with that. It's one of my favorite worlds to play in, and if that's not a world-class digression, I don't know what is.
In real-life news, we're on vacation, all of us, until the first weekend in January. I'm working a few days, but not too much... and nothing before 10am. I'm all about not doing much of anything during these two weeks. Hannah's glad to be on vacation. We've been playing a few Mystery Case Files games from Big Fish Games; we have Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst (which we've finished) and Mystery Case Files: Madam Fate (which we just started). These are some of the best time sinks out there, if you like hidden object puzzle games. They're like... I Spy grows up... on crack. 'nuff said.
Promised to take Hannah to see Golden Compass either tonight or tomorrow. And all three of us are going to see I'm Not There and probably I Am Legend too. Should be a filmtastic two weeks.
Oh, and
wheneveriwant, thank you for the card. That made me grin.
