Yo. Look. I'm Updating.
May. 14th, 2007 03:28 pmBeen a while, hasn't it. Then again, my only official New Year's resolution was to only update this thing when I felt like it and not because I felt like I had to.
S' up, eh? Personally, I've been having a little too much fun at
outpost_12, but that's a good thing. One of my characters is finally busting loose of his restraints and that's always a wonderful thing to witness. I know, it's about time, shut up. Hi, Merc.
So we finally got into the 21st century and swapped out our cable box for one with DVR. I'm told my life is about to change immeasurably. So I figured out how to program it - easy - but I might stubbornly insist on watching LOST in realtime anyhow. Just because.
It's never over, my kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder...
I'm surrounded by music today. This is a good thing. I don't mind coming out as Jeff Buckley in the "Which Dead Rock Star Are You?" quiz, but I don't want to die by drowning. That anniversary is right around the corner and I always get kind of stupidly sad about it.
Hannah's drama club play is Friday. I'm doing makeup for both the afternoon and evening performances. That should be fun! Then life will be normal! Then it will be summer and I won't have to get up at the crack of dawn before everyone else in the house five days a week. This morning, Hannah forgot her backpack. I decided to bring it to her, since it has everything in it. That added another hour to my morning and in the name of environmental kindness I almost didn't bring it to her, but I'm a softie. I did. She's there till 5:30 because of drama and I needed to make sure she ate something, because today's school lunch wasn't something she'd eat. I resigned myself a couple years ago to being a devoted mom this way until she's old enough to drive for herself. Next year she's going to school right down the street and I'll still drive her to school and pick her up, but the commute will be 7 minutes each way instead of 30. That'll be such a huge difference, I'm not sure I'll know what to do with myself. Yeah, Paige, I'm looking at you. The time to move west is fast approaching.
Life is largely pretty damn good. I have no complaints, but I'm sure if I stay here long enough, I'll be able to think of some... except it's time to watch some Bebop.
Catch you later.
