Thank you, ashavah, for the lovely icon. In fact, it's perfect for what's going on right now not just in my life but over with the certifiable crew at dogstar_academy. That Sirius. I never know when he's going to come up with some idea that's so out of left field it just... fits. Every now and then, I have to stop and thank that other JK for creating such a fabulous and multi-layered character. I should know after so many years playing him that he likes to spring surprises on me. Guess it's just another chapter in Life with Sirius: Get Used to the Unexpected.

I always say that I wish I were as brilliant as he is and that sounds stupid, but it isn't, not really. Sometimes I just feel like the venue for it all. I think, really, all creative writing happens that way for me: I don't script things out in advance and plan minute details. I only see the big picture from far away, and then, eventually, all the little bits and pieces seem to fall into place. I kind of live for that part of it all. It's why I don't worry about what's to come: in writing as in real life, things just sort of happen. Ideas are hatched, plans are forged, and reactions happen.

Thanks for bearing with me. I have this mind that jumps from place to place to place, testing different waters, compiling different lists of things to do, trying on different outfits or personas or that kind of thing. I'm restless. I can sit still physically, but I can't sit still mentally. It's never lack of focus or attention, it's more... there are so many ideas that want both in and out. Those of you who know me know what I mean. Those of you who don't and don't get it, well... just move along. Nothing much to see here.

Except all of it.

And now I have to go to work. One evening client tonight. I have to make up for the vast desert that was lack of clients in May. Catch you all later!
