One thing I love about roleplay is that I never, ever know where it's going to take me. Even when I know stuff is coming up, and I knew this would happen. But since I'm not one of those to decide anything on my characters' behalves in advance, I just let it happen and that was that. The challenge of playing in an alternate universe setting is when basic facts have to stay true to canon but you get to put your own characterizations and spin on them.
The same thing is happening all over that board now. It's really fun. Big thanks to all my fellow roleplayers over there: you know who you are.
