You Are 40% Selfish

In general, you are a very giving person who treats others very well.
But at times, you insist on getting your way - when it matters most to you.

It's Saturday. I can be selfish if I want... next week, because it will just be me. And work, and so it goes. Warning for random ramblings ahead: I still haven't found the kittens, but I don't want to go hunting either and freak out the mom cat. Just because she's been friendly a few times doesn't mean I might not drive her off, and... well, I've raised teeny tiny kittens before but right now I don't want that to be my job.

However, I have the perfect box for them. *innocent* Hannah wants to keep one. I dunno. We already have five cats. The mom cat looks to be little more than a kitten herself. See how families grow in size so incrementally?

Once upon a time in the Bahamas, I went to this island where no people lived, but cats ran the place. It was an experiment by the Bahamian humane society to free up room; they took a bunch of cats and let them loose on the island. It was unsurprisingly called Cat Island and they were everywhere and of course, they all looked alike. They caught bugs and birds and fish but when I went back a couple years later, I was told they'd all died out. It was a failed experiment because the island was small and couldn't sustain that type of population at all. Now, had they spayed/neutered the animals first... it might have been a different story. It's kind of sad, actually. We went to the island on a day trip for snorkeling and picnicking. Kind of an odd concept, isn't it? Not the picnic and snorkeling, but letting the cats loose there to see what happened to them?

Humans are so strange.

But me, I'm only 40% selfish. Way to go.

Hannah and I spent the morning playing Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker. We had a date and everything. It was fun. Of course, she had an ulterior motive and I knew it the very first time she said "Mom, you want me to get you past this place?" O I C! You just want me to get through the boring parts so you can replay your own favorites! Very sneaky! But it was fun. After a couple hours, though, I'd had enough. I named my Linkalike sprite "Spike." How predictable am I?

And... Mitch finally made it back from the east coast a day late. Damn you, east coast weather. Now. Whatever will we do next week when Hannah's gone and it's just us? Maybe we'll find the kittens. Who knows.

Have a day, all.
