Must be because of this cold I can't seem to shake. HEY! I don't want suggestions for cures and I don't want to know what worked for anyone else with their last cold. I just want sympathy and plenty of it. Here's the collection bin.

In other cold-related news. You ever have one of those mornings where you wake up much earlier than you wanted and can't fall back asleep? So you do what I do: pick up a nearby book -- in this case, Howl's Moving Castle -- and read for, say, an hour and a half until you're ready to sleep more, and then you do and wake up a little over an hour later in the midst of an unsettling dream feeling far worse than you did when you woke up earlier? Oddly enough, that's just what my morning was like.

So I went back to bed, finished my book (they say third time's a charm) and then got news that my playdate with mme_publisher I thought cancelled was back on again due in no short part to my own fogheaded ingenuity. Note that I take credit where credit is due, heh, I'm okay that way. So I dragged my lazily-garbed self out of bed again, got ready, took Hannah, and we went to play. Starbucks then back here because she hadn't seen the place since the remodel was done, and we sat around chatting about everything under the sun, or at least everything under the sun that came up as a topic of conversation and I have to fess, I love sitting around gabbing with her. It's so easy. We have lots in common. I never have to worry about uncomfortable silences. Look at these two verbal writers go. I feel very confident in saying that she's one of the few women my age around these parts with whom I am comfortable.

And with that cold-flu-whatever story told, I'll say yes, I'm being good and taking my vitamins. I want my damn nanobots. Give 'em over, Vincent.
