you are violet
#EE82EE

Your dominant hues are red and blue. You're confident and like showing people new ideas. You play well with others and can be very influential if you want to be.

Your saturation level is lower than average - You don't stress out over things and don't understand people who do. Finishing projects may sometimes be a challenge, but you schedule time as you see fit and the important things all happen in the end, even if not everyone sees your grand master plan.

Your outlook on life is bright. You see good things in situations where others may not be able to, and it frustrates you to see them get down on everything.

Who knew. Violet. Although I have to say that this really does kind of sound like me.

In other (exciting) news, they're pouring concrete around our house today! Yes! How fun is that? Mitch wants me to take pictures. I'm disinclined to acquiesce to his request... but I will if I'm here. If not, I might have to go move my car and get cat litter then anyhow. Regardless, I can take pictures after the concrete is poured. Only guys will find this an interesting task, I'm sure. What is it about Y chromosomes and heavy equipment?

My arm is still a little sore from the tetanus shot I got on Friday. Bah humbug. At least they're good for ten years, and if one of my clients sticks me with an old nail, I'm covered.

Hannah went and finished reading Howl's Moving Castle without me, so I'm finishing it myself now. It's such an endearing book.

And what else? Oh, more Bill stuff. You're probably all bored to tears hearing about it, so don't click this link.

Writing Challenge!

Welcome to the sixth seventh monthly writing challenge. Go all of us who've contributed! It's one of my favorite times of the month... because it forces me to be creative, and it lets me read some amazing short work on a regular basis.

This month's theme, in honor of [livejournal.com profile] sff_corgi, is serenity. Not the movie, the word.

From Cambridge Dictionaries Online:
serene
adjective
peaceful and calm; troubled by nothing:
She has a lovely serene face.

serenely
adverb
She smiled serenely and said nothing.

serenity
noun [U]
I admired her serenity in the midst of so much chaos.

Rules (remember, they're more like guidelines):
  • Fandom: any, so long as it's one you know well.

  • Word count: 400 or less

  • Main theme: Serenity.

  • Ratings: No restrictions.

  • Duration: Challenge opens today and closes at 11:59 p.m. Monday, October 24. A week and a day because I like it that way.
Post your short-fics as comments to this entry. Feel free to do as few or as many as you want, and if you see one you really like, be sure to leave a review or a comment.
